About Beechwood Vets

Our team provides a friendly service covering all aspects of veterinary surgery and medicine – vaccinations, routine and emergency services, medical investigations, dietary advice, dental work etc. Our clients have access to 24-hour emergency consultations and treatment. We are approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a practice that can train small animal nursing staff. The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme was launched in January 2005 to establish a quality assurance framework to promote and maintain the highest standard of veterinary care.

Our Facilities

Our four surgeries across Leeds are equipped with modern medical and surgical equipment, enabling us to give your pet the best and most up to date treatment available.

Operation Facilities

We understand that owners worry when their pet has to have a general anaesthetic. We utilise a range of modern drugs and monitoring equipment to keep your pet as safe as possible.

Laboratory equipment

For urgent cases and pre-anaesthetic blood screening, we can run tests “in house”. The results are available in 15 to 20 minutes. A more comprehensive range of tests is available through external laboratories with results usually provided within 24 hours.

Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography enables us to scan the inside of the body without discomfort to your pet and is a very useful aid to diagnosis.

X-ray facilities

X-ray facilities are available at all of our surgeries, except Garforth. We may need to sedate or anaesthetise your animal to take accurate pictures and satisfy Health and Safety requirements for our staff. Our digital X-ray machines at the Crossgates and Chapel Allerton branches enables us to share images with our other branches and with referral centres.

ECG

We have an ECG machine available at the Crossgates branch with one of our veterinary surgeons that has an interest in cardiology. The ECG machine can detect life threatening heart conditions.

Meet The Team

We have a dedicated team of ten veterinary surgeons, who are complimented by an extensive support team of nurses, receptionists and administrative staff.
Our dedicated and trained nursing staff are here to care for our in patients and we offer free nurse out patient clinics to clients with pets, providing guidance and advice and special offers.
Our friendly, caring team of receptionists are ready to welcome clients and their animals and deal with any enquiries.
